Steps to be Licensed and Registered as an RN in New York State

如何在纽约州成为注册护士？

To be licensed and registered as an RN in New York State, you must:

美国对于护士的执照要求是各个州制定的，并非联邦政府 ，因而每州都略有不同。在纽约州，成为注册护士有以下要求：

• Have no guilty or criminal charges. 

品行良好，无任何犯罪记录。

• Complete the nursing program at D’Youville College 

完成本科护理学课程并毕业 (即从督优维尔学院的护理专业毕业)。

• Meet examination requirements (NCLEX examination) 

达到全国护士执照考试（National Council Licensure Examination – Registered Nurse，简称NCLEX-RN）的考试要求。

• Apply for an RN license with NYSED (New York State Education Department) 
• 向纽约州教育部申请注册护士执照。

After you qualify for an RN license, NYSED will issue you a nursing license and a registration certificate. 

当所有要求都达到后，纽约州教育部会签发护士执照与注册证书。护士执照和注册证书皆有效才可以进行护士工作。

• The nursing license is valid for life, unless it is surrendered or revoked, annulled or suspended by the New York State Board of Regents. 

护士执照终生有效，被州政府吊销、撤销、暂停等除外。

• The registration certificate will authorize you to practice nursing for about 3 years. You must renew your registration every 3 years to continue to practice nursing. You are not legally allowed to practice nursing while your registration is expired.

注册证书的有效期为三年。每三年需要更新注册证书。若注册正式过期，则不能合法进行护士工作。

一般来说，学生毕业后会参加NCLEX的护士执照考试。督优维尔学院的护理学的老师们会帮助学生准备相关考试和申请，专业课程也是针对NCLEX考试设置的。
