Christmas day is known as the birthday of Jesus Christ and is celebrated by Christians around the world.  The way most people celebrate Christmas is usually unimaginative.  For example, many watch a film, eat outside or just go shopping and that is all.  People who celebrate like that have all been put to shame by the nursing and Pakistani students in the Faculty of International Education at Guangxi University for Chinese Medicine this Christmas.

According to one Pakistani student, it was his first time to celebrate Christmas and he said he felt, “very excited.

Organizers of this activity hoped it would improve the Chinese students’ English and Pakistani students’ Chinese.  The goal was to motivate multi-cultural communication and the International Education Faculty had high expectation for this activity.

The activities of this day included choosing a class leader through an election, visiting The Guangxi Museum and having Christmas party.  After a period of  high tension each of the Chinese students chose a Pakistani partner to speak with.  There was a remarkably positive effect when these two groups got acquainted at the Guangxi Museum.  The atmosphere during the visit was relaxed and joyful.  The Chinese students introduced Chinese costumes to the Pakistani students and many group photographs were taken to cherish the memory of this unforgettable activity.

After visiting the museum,  the students attended a Christmas party where they had dinner together and celebrated this remarkable day.
